Recently, a delegation from Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), led by President & CEO Pham Van Phong, had a working session with the leaders of Nam Dinh Province to accelerate the investment procedures for the LNG Power Center project. 

The "PV GAS – Green Energy Journey" marathon was successfully concluded on the morning of January 5, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City. This event was to spread awareness within the community with thousands of participants from across the country.
 

Low-emission hydrogen (H2) is considered a key factor for a carbon-neutral economy. PV GAS is a pioneer in research and development (R&D) as well as in promoting the production and use of low-emission H2 in Vietnam. On the occasion of welcoming the new year 2025, Dr. Pham Van Phong, CEO & President of PV GAS, recently had an interview with journalists about the role of the Corporation in providing clean energy for the country's socio-economic development. 

It is projected that PV GAS will exceed its production and business targets for 2024 with numerous records and historic milestones. These achievements affirms the Corporation has once again been able to navigate challenges, including a greater-than-expected decline in domestic supply and demand for gas in power generation, fierce competition from alternative energy sources, and an incomplete regulatory framework for the gas/LNG sector.

On December 22, 2024, "PV GAS - Green energy journey" Marathon was organized by Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), marking the beginning of a series of lively sports activities in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The marathon was part to celebrate PV GAS' achievements in 2024.
 

On December 9, 2024, at the headquarters of the Petro Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) in Ho Chi Minh City, PV GAS coordinated with the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) and Pure Hydrogen Company to organize a workshop with the theme " Vietnam Australia Hydrogen Workshop - H2 Mobility & Decentralised System". The content of the workshop focused on the development of hydrogen for mobility and decentralized hydrogen production and supply systems. The workshop also opened up cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Australian enterprises, including PV GAS and other subsidiaries of the Petro Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).

Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) has reaffirmed its leading role in the country’s gas industry by obtaining a national liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply chain via waterways, pipelines, railways, and roadways, with an aim to meet the growing demand for clean energy, and contribute to national energy security.

On November 8, 2024, at the People's Committee of Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh Province, Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) collaborated with Ha Tinh Province to organize a signing ceremony regarding the Corporation’s sponsorship for the refurbishment of Ky Khang Kindergarten, and the Hong Lam Scholarship Fund.
 

On November 4, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held the 9th Announcement Ceremony recognized under the Vietnam National Brand program. Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) was honored as one of the enterprises with products achieving the National Brand status in 2024.

On October 31, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS) held its 24th conference of the 2020–2025 term, aiming at disseminating and implementing Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW of the Politburo within the Party Committee of the Corporation.

Dr. Pham Van Phong, President and CEO of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), chaired a meeting with PV GAS Ca Mau Company (PV GAS CA MAU) to review its ten-month performance and plan through the end of 2024.
