With a vision toward sustainable development, member units of Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) have simultaneously implemented meaningful activities that both contribute to environmental protection and enhance safety at gas facilities. Notable examples include the Long Hải beach cleanup program organized by Petrovietnam Gas South East Transmission Company (PV GAS SE) and the 2025 emergency response drills for fire prevention, firefighting, oil and chemical spill containment, and environmental incidents conducted by Petrovietnam Gas Ca Mau Company (PV GAS CA MAU).
Green Saturday – PV GAS SE joins hands to clean Long Hải beach
On August 16, 2025, at the Long Hải Landfall Station (Long Hải commune, Ho Chi Minh City) (Long Hải LFS), PV GAS SE’s Youth Union in collaboration with the Company’s Labor Union held the program “Green Saturday – Environmental Sanitation, Cleaning Long Hải Beach.” The event was part of the Company’s 2025 plan, and also in response to the national campaign to intensify waste collection and environmental protection activities toward the celebration of the 80th National Day (September 2), following Directive No. 134/CĐ-TTg dated August 13, 2025 from the Prime Minister.

The program attracted a large number of employees and youth union members from various departments of the company. Together, they collected and sorted waste, cleaning the beach area in front of the Long Hải LFS – a key gas facility operated by PV GAS SE. This is where offshore gas flows are received and transported onshore, contributing to national energy security. Thus, maintaining a clean and green environment around the station not only protects nature but also demonstrates PV GAS SE’s commitment to building the image of a green, professional enterprise that links energy development with environmental responsibility.

PV GAS CA MAU conducts 2025 emergency drills for firefighting, rescue, oil and chemical spill response, and environmental incidents
In line with its 2025 Occupational Safety and Hygiene Plan, on August 15, 2025, PV GAS CA MAU organized a combined drill on fire prevention and rescue operations, together with oil spill, chemical spill, and environmental incident response. The activity aimed to improve coordination, assess the company’s proactivity, and enhance readiness in handling emergencies, with participation from the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department of Fire Prevention and Rescue, Đá Bạc Commune Police, U Minh Hạ National Park, and PV GAS SERVICES.
PV GAS CA MAU organizes a practice of firefighting, rescue, and response to oil, chemical and environmental spills in 2025
The drill scenario simulated a “fire outbreak at the pressure valve on the Landfall Station (LFS), accompanied by a diesel spill from the old generator storage tank.” To respond, PV GAS CA MAU mobilized 45 officers and firefighters, four specialized fire trucks, three pumps, one motorbike, one equipment transport vehicle, one ambulance, medical staff, and oil spill containment equipment.

The results showed that all response plans were executed exactly as scheduled, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and equipment. Scenarios were handled smoothly and systematically, demonstrating thorough preparation, professionalism, and proactiveness of PV GAS CA MAU. The drill also reaffirmed the close coordination between the enterprise and local authorities to ensure readiness in responding effectively to any emergencies.
The practical initiatives of PV GAS SE and PV GAS CA MAU once again illustrate PV GAS’s strong commitment to harmonizing business efficiency with social responsibility and environmental protection.
