On June 23, 2012, the China Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) released an invitation of international bids for the 9 blocks of JY22, HY10, HY34, BS16, DW04, DW22, YQX18, RJ03 and RJ27 for petroleum exploration in 2012 with foreign companies. Founded in late 2009, PetroVietnam Table Tennis Club is the youngest table tennis team of Vietnam but has achieved outstanding success over the last three years. On 11/05/2012, in the coastal city of Da Nang, the tennis club’s players have proved their terrific form when all reached Men's Singles Quarter Finals and won the bronze medal in Men's Team at the 30th Nhan Dan Newspaper's National Table Tennis Championships -PetroVietnam Cup.

On 11/5/2012, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, PV Gas held a conference of "PV Gas Customer Conference in 2012". Attendees of the conference included representatives of ministries, PetroVietnam, the BOD of PV Gas, the BOM of PV Gas, representatives of affiliate companies, member companies and over 100 representatives of PV Gas’ loyal business partners in the business of gas and gas products.

On 26 & 27/4/2012, PV Gas organized the Fire Prevention and Fighting Manoeuvre at the corporation level in BR-VT Province. Attending the manoeuver were representatives of Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade, PetroVietnam, Police General Department under the Ministry of Public Security, BR-VT Province People’s Committee and Police.

On 4/19/2012, a delegation of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group’s leaders paid a working visit to PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas).

In order to further promote achievements obtained in 2011 and well carry out the orientations, plans and tasks set for PV Gas in 2012; leaders of PV Gas and Trade Union of PV Gas call on all personnel to make every effort, jointly competing with each other with the aim at successfully implementing the 2012 plan.

Apart from bus enterprises switching from petrol, oil vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG) powered buses for environmental protection and cost savings as reported by Saigon Liberation Newspaper, interesting news has come. That is many enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, with nothing to do with transportation business but still actively switch to using CNG-powered vehicles.

2011 is the year of so much significance to PETROVIETNAM GAS CORPORATION (PV Gas). Simultaneously, in line with the assurance of completing Business Plan, this is the first year the Corporation transferred to run under a Joint Stock Company model, and also the first year of implementing five year plan for 2011-2015, Speed-up Strategy for development of PVN to 2015 and orientations to 2025, conducting the Master plan on Vietnamese Gas industry development for 2015 period and orientations to 2025.

Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Tien Phong Newspaper and PetroVietnam Gas (PV Gas) have made announcements about Vietnamese Award of Super Cup. Accordingly, PV Gas becomes the exclusive sponsor for the Football Award in 2011 and its official name is Vietnamese Super Cup – Cup PV Gas 2011.

On 12/06/2011, at PetroVietnam Gas Jointstock Corporation(PV Gas)’s office a ceremony was held for signing of contracts and agreements regarding the Project of Associated Gas of Chim Sao Field, Block 12W Vietnamese offshore, including the Associated Gas Gathering Agreement (AGGA) (between PV Gas and gas owners: PREMIER OIL VIETNAM OFFSHORE B.V., PREMIER OIL VIETNAM LIMITED, SANTOS PETROLEUM VENTURES B.V., Vietnam Oil and Gas Group - PVN and PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation - PVEP), and the Agreement on Transportation, handling and redelivery of Associated Gas (TA) (between PV Gas and owners of Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline: PV Gas, BP Pipeline Vietnam and ConocoPhillips Vietnam).
