On June 8, 2013, PetroVietnam Gas South East Transmission Company (PV GAS SE) – a subsidiary of PV GAS- held the Conference on Safety – Health – Environment at Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. The conference assessed results of PV GAS SE’s safety, health, and environment tasks in 2012 and identified existing problems, causes, experience and lessons in order to propose objectives and orientation in 2013 and beyond. The conference was also an opportunity for PV GAS SE’s divisions and related units of PV Gas to exchange and share experiences on safety – health – environment tasks.

The 2013 Football Award for Petroleum units in the Mekong Delta region held by PetroVietnam Trade Union to celebrate the Workers’ Month has come to an end with the championship prize awarded to PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau. This was the fourth straight time that PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau won the highest prize in the king of sports of Mekong Delta Petroleum industry.

Responding to the 2013 Workers’ Month and celebrating the success of the Fifth PetroVietnam Trade Union Congress, on June 5, 2013, the Trade Union of PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau Company (PV GAS CAMAU) at grassroots level successfully held the second contest of hygienic and safety workers in 2013. Each team consisted of 5 members, including at least one hygienic and safety worker. The teams underwent three parts of contest including short play contest, knowledge contest (consisting of multiple choice questions and situation handling) on safety – labor hygiene – fire and explosive prevention and fighting, and first aid contest.

In the afternoon of 15/5, in Vung Tau City, the Petroleum Trade Union held a contest “The Petroleum Women with food culture” aimed at celebrating President Ho Chi Minh’s 123rd birthday, congratulating the success of the Fifth Petroleum Trade Union Congress, and implementing 2013 plan of the Female Worker activities of the Industry.

In 2012, there were 25 enterprises achieving the pre-tax profit of more than VND 500 billion on the overall stock market. In which, the large enterprise making the highest profit before tax was Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (with the stock name known as GAS) which contributed the pre-tax profit of over VND 12,000 billion.

On May 4, 2013, the Council of Science and Technology (CST) of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) organized a meeting to get approval for initiatives on production rationalization for PV GAS in 2012.

Implementing the Social security program in 2013, the Veterans Association of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) coordinated with local government of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province to offer a ‘Comradeship’ house with value of VND 50 million to veteran Kieu Quang Van.

In order to welcome the 38th anniversary of South Vietnam Liberation and National Reunification Day (30/4/1975 - 30/4/2013) and the International Labor Day 1/5; as well as implement the regulation in coordination between PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and border guards of Ca Mau Province in order to ensure the protection and security of pipeline PM3 – Ca Mau, the Youth Union of PetroVietnam Gas Ca Mau (PV Gas Ca Mau) had coordinated with Youth Union of PV GAS, Youth Union of Border Guards Commanding Unit of Ca Mau Province, Youth Union of Economic security unit of Ca Mau Public Security, and local Youth Committee of Ca Mau Province to organize the “Border Island Sentiment Program” 2013. The program was conducted from April 27 to 28, 2013 and aimed to visit and offer gifts to officers and soldiers who have been working at Hon Khoai Island, Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province.

Implementing the provisions of Corporate Law and Charter of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), PV Gas held the 2013’s Annual General Shareholder Meeting on April 15, 2013 at PV Gas Tower, HCMC to submit for discussion and approval of:

By the end of March 2013, at the invitation of Her Excellency Vietnam’s Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, His Excellency Vice President of Republic of the Union of Myanmar - Mr. Nyan Tun had visited Vietnam for the first time in his position as the Vice President. President Truong Tan Sang and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan welcome the Myanmar Vice President in Hanoi and emphasized that his visit had positively ‘s contributed to the enhancement of current traditional friendship relations and good cooperation among the two countries. It is mutually affirmed that both parties will maintain the current bilateral effective cooperation to solve problems, strengthen the cooperation in many fields, and commit to actively promote the implementation of high-level agreements mutually reached by the two countries.

Tet 2013 is the occasion to spend time with family and enjoy the warm and cheerful Spring days.
