On the 8th August, 2019 at Petrovietnam Gas Corporation’s office (PV GAS) had took place a Signing Ceremony the Contract of “Design, supply commodities and construct onshore pipeline & stations (EPC onshore pipeline & stations)” that belongs to Revised Nam Con Son 2 Project (Revised NCS2) between PV GAS represented by Petrovietnam South – East Gas Project Management Board (PVGAS SEG) and the List of Bidders VIETSOVPETRO – LILAMA – NAGECCO.

On 15 August 2018, Nikkei Asian Review – the leading media in Japan, has announced the list of Nikkei Asia 300 Companies in which PV GAS is named as one of the 5 Vietnamese companies in the honorable list.

On June 24, the signing ceremony of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract of Thi Vai LNG Terminal Project took place between PVGAS and the Joint Venture of Samsung C&T and PTSC, along with the signing of The LNG supply and consumption contract for Nhon Trach 3 &4 Power Plants between PVGAS and PV Power.

From a highly appreciated initiative in PetroVietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (PetroVietnam Gas) and after the two-year implementation, PV Gas Ca Mau, a subsidiary of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PVGas), has been developing  an  effective and practical plan to protect the subsea gas pipelines.

June 17, 2015 - Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has acquired 100% of the shares of the Chevron companies with assets in Vietnam and the operatorship that are part of the Block B, Block 48&95 and Block 52/97 projects, off Vietnam’s continental shelf. These companies include Chevron Vietnam (Block B) Ltd, holding a 42.38 % operating interest in the PSC covering Blocks B and 48/95, Chevron Vietnam (Block 52) Ltd, holding a 43.40% operating interest in the PSC covering Block 52/97 and also the operator under the two PSCs, and Chevron Southwest Vietnam Pipeline Co. Ltd, holding a 28.7% working interest in a pipeline project that would deliver natural gas from offshore to gas users in Vietnam.

In an award issued on 22 May 2015, an international Arbitral Tribunal constituted under the Arbitration Rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and comprised of leading international arbitrators Gary Born (Chairman), David A. R. Williams QC and Yves Derains has unanimously agreed with PetroVietnam’s position in a major tax incentive dispute under a production sharing contract for a Vietnamese offshore oil concession. All claims against PetroVietnam were rejected and the claimants were ordered to reimburse PetroVietnam’s costs of arbitration in full.

With the approval of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in the Resolution No. 1000/NQ-DKVN (4/5/2015) on the Group’s staff, PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has carried out steps on voting/ appointment in compliance with regulations and on 09/05/2015 has issued the Decision No. 606/QD-KVN appointing Mr. Duong Manh Son to hold the post of Member of BOD and President &CEO of PV GAS.
