3rd PVGAS Football Champion Cup - 2014

On 09 and 10/08/2014, at Tran Thai football field, Nha Be, "the 3rd  PVGAS Football Champion Cup - 2014" took place. The Tournament attracted the participation of football teams from fellow companies as PetroVietnam Coating Joint Stock Company, PVCombank - Ho Chi Minh Office, Office of Rosneft Oil Company, General Economic Security Department and Tan Son Nhat Aviation Security Department. 

All 8 matches were exciting. The players completely devoted in performance, providing audience with intriguing and dramatic moments.

As the winner in the final match versus the host PV GAS Office, PVCombank - Ho Chi Minh Office won the championship for the first time. The football teams from the Office of PetroVietnam Coating Joint Stock Company (PV Coating) and Tan Son Nhat Aviation Security Department won the three and fourth prizes, respectively. 

With the goal scored in the final match, Mr. Pham Hong Linh – Vice President of PV GAS became the oldest player to score in a final. However, PV Gas Office's football team still lost in the narrow 4-3 scoreline. This was the second consecutive year that the PV Gas Office football team won the second prize. The team of Tan Son Nhat Aviation Security Department won the Style Award.

The Tournament was one of the efforts to maintain the annual sporting event, jointly organized by the Trade Union of the Corporation (PV Gas) to celebrate the 24th anniversary of PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (20/09/1990 - 20/09/2014). In addition, the organization committee expected to create an interesting playground in the sport life of the southern member companies in the Petroleum industry and the friend companies .
