PV GAS VT's voluntary blood donation program: From heart to heart
As of part of the instruction of the Youth Union at Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), the Youth sub-union of PV Gas Vung Tau Processing Company hosted and coordinated with the counterpart of units under PV GAS in Vung Tau to co-organize a 2023 Voluntary Blood Donation Program on April 28 there.
The program was held in accordance with the youth unions’ plan in 2023 to respond to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, and Workers' Month, as well as practically towards the celebration of important national holidays. The theme of "From heart to heart" was a meaningful message with a deeply human spirit. Each drop of donated blood not only fulfilled the mission of saving patients’ lives in dangerous moments, but through that, we sowed further vast numbers of seeds of kindness and affection, beautifying Vietnamese people’s tradition of mutual love.
Upholding the tradition of "Loving your neighbor as yourself," with the motto of " Every drop of blood that you donate can help save a life in some way", voluntary blood donation has become an annual activity, a cultural beauty which PV GAS youth has developed for many years. PV GAS youth actively participated and responded over the years. Thanks to the enthusiastic spirit and gratitude of the Oil and Gas people, along with the careful preparation from the organization and calling, this year's program became a Volunteer Festival, attracting more than 236 staff and employees of PV GAS units in Vung Tau and their partners’ ones.
Among the participating teams, many were young people wearing blue shirts. Along with them, there were also representatives of leaders at PV GAS VT and sister units, leaders of production facilities/plants/gas works… Secretary of PV GAS Youth Union Le Hoai Bac also joined the Festival, contributing to creating an atmosphere of volunteering, readiness and solidarity.
The 2023 "From heart to heart" Blood Donation Day contributed nearly 250 units of blood - a very meaningful support to the country’s blood bank. The program also raised nearly VND10 million to a charity fund to help people with financial difficulties in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
