PV GAS achieves profit before tax of more than VND4.5 trillion in the year’s first five months
Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has recently organised a meeting to review its production and trade in this year’s first five months. PV GAS’ General Director Duong Manh Son has chaired the meeting.
The meeting has discussed PV GAS’ production and trade in the first five months, dual influences caused by COVID-19 pandemic and the drop in oil prices, and one growth plan for this year’s remaining months.
In the first five months, PV GAS produced and traded amid COVID-19 pandemic while oil prices fell and more and more problems occurred in the upper area. However, PV GAS took efforts and tried to carry out many effective and synchronous solutions. PV GAS maintained operation uninterruptedly, safely, and effectively. PV GAS finished the five-month plan to achieve the targets of output and finance (producing and supplying specifically nearly 3.8 billion cubic metres of gas- achieving 101 per cent of the set five-month plan; manufacturing and trading 720,000 tonnes of LPG- achieving 141 per cent of the set plan; manufacturing and trading 26,000 tonnes of condensate, achieving 110 per cent of the plan; the total revenue of nearly VND27.6 trillion- achieving 106 per cent of the plan; the profit before tax of more than VND4.5 trillion- achieving 134 per cent of the plan; and contributing nearly VND2 trillion to the State’s budget- achieving 162 per cent of the plan.)
The meeting has pointed difficulties and challenges which PV GAS will face in the year’s remaining months: the drop in the output of exploited gas, oil prices to be difficult to be achieved as the set plan, several main projects to be difficult to be finished as the set plan because COVID-19 pandemic still is breaking out. To overcome these challenges and difficulties, PV GAS’ General Director has called on its leaders and staff to continue promoting the solidarity and to focus on drastic and effective direction, administration and implementation of solutions in the next months to strive for completion and to exceed the set targets, which Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PETROVIETNAM) has assigned, so that PV GAS is worthy to become a leading unit under PETROVIETNAM.
