PETROVIETNAM and PV GAS donate medical equipment for Ha Noi Medical University Hospital
To carry out a social welfare programme in 2020 of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PETROVIETNAM), Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has donated VND3 billion to Ha Noi Medical University Hospital to buy necessary medical equipment to serve health examination and treatment for people in the country.
On Jun 2, Ha Noi Medical University Hospital organised a ceremony to receive the donation of two advanced machines from PETROVIETNAM/ PV GAS. The machines are extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) system, which is used as a hemodymanic support system to increase the flow of blood in the body to allow the heart and lungs to rest in critically ill patients, and portable Doppler ultrasound machine worth VND900 million. The ECMO system is worth VND2.1 billion.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof Dr Nguyen Lan Hieu, the hospital’s Director, expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of PETROVIETNAM and PV GAS and undertook to use these machines in the right purposes, helping examine and treat better and bringing more benefits for patients.
The delegates also visited and double checked the right use of these machines to serve patients at the hospital.
In last many years, PETROVIETNAM and PV GAS also have donated/co-operated with the hospital to carry out many useful activities such as periodical examination for the staff of PETROVIETNAM. Moreover, the former has donated two dialysis machines and other medical equipment worth VND1.3 billion. In the end of 2019, PV GAS co-operated with the hospital to organise a charity programme of free health examination and delivery of medicine. In the programme, 500 disadvantaged people in Khanh An Commune at the Mekong Delta province of Cà Mau ’s U Minh District also were presented gifts.
