PV GAS CA MAU achieves 1 million tons of LPG
On June 5, 2025, PV GAS CA MAU, a unit of Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS), officially reached 1 million tons of LPG cumulatively at its Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant.
Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant
Operational since September 19, 2017, the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant processes natural gas from the PM3-Ca Mau field, a valuable resource in the overlapping area between Vietnam and Malaysia. With a design capacity of 6.2 million standard cubic meters per day, producing up to 600 tons of LPG and 34 tons of condensate daily, the plant has maintained stable and efficient operations. It plays a critical role in PV GAS’ gas value chain and serves as the final piece of the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer industrial cluster. Notably, it is Vietnam’s most efficient LPG recovery facility, ensuring stable LPG and condensate supply for the Southwest region, supporting local socio-economic development, and contributing to national energy security.
The one million-ton milestone was achieved as the result of PV GAS’ close guidance and comprehensive support for PV GAS CA MAU throughout its development. Clear strategic direction and timely assistance from PV GAS enabled the unit to overcome challenges, operate efficiently, and reach major milestones.
