2014 is named “Year of Youth Volunteers”
The secretariat of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has agreed in principle to select 2014 as “Year of Youth Volunteers”. The plan “Year of Youth Volunteers 2014 ” of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has also been drafted in an effort to promote the pioneer and volunteer roles of the youth in joining socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty alleviation, ensuring social security, new rural construction, urban civilization. The secretariat of Party Central Committee has expressed their desire and confidence that activities of “Year of Youth Volunteers” would create a quantitative transformation of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization, solidarity expansion, youth assembling, contributing to creation of suitable environment for the youth to forge their virtues, being aware of their honour and responsibilities in national construction and defense. Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is still welcoming opinions of relevant agencies to complete the plan; selecting meaningful volunteer activities to contribute to efficient implementation of major programs of the Party and the State in 2014; preparing specific action plans closely in line with requirements of socio-economic development, strengthening of national defense and security, at the same time creating consensus, promoting political responsibilities of levels and sectors, creating the synergy strength for implementing those targets.
The proposed solution for implementing “The year of youth volunteers” is to maintain strongly promoting the youth’s pioneer and volunteer roles through campaigns, revolutionary action movements of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and programs, projects, plans assigned to Youth Union to implement.
The secretariat of Party Central Committee requests Party Committees at all levels to direct their own Youth Union to proceed with efficient implementation in line with particulars of local, sectors, agencies, units; concurrently strengthening the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, ensuring good fulfillment of the key political role of youth organizations and Teenager movement.
The secretariat of Party Central Committee also requested related levels and sectors to co-operate with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in volunteer activities for good results. At the beginning of the year, the Secretariat of Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union required provincial and city Unions and their directly-controlled Unions to widely publicize the purposes and meaning of “Year of Youth Volunteers 2014” to staff, Youth Union members and people; at the same time preparing specific programs and actions plans according to duties of locations, units; actively consulting with Party Committee and authorities to implement contents, duties, solutions and well organize the ceremony and activities to launch “Year of Youth Volunteers 2014”, ensuring practicality and efficiency.
Following the direction of the Standing Committee of PVN Youth Union on implementing “Announcing opinions of the Secretariat of Party Central Committee on selecting 2014 as “Year of Youth Volunteers” to all PV Gas’ personnel and Youth Union members, the Standing Committee of PV Gas Union has combined the ceremony to launch “Year of Youth Volunteers 2014” with calling upon PV Gas’ personnel and Youth Union to promote their pioneer and volunteer morale in community activities as well as technical innovation, contributing to fulfillment of business emulation targets of PV Gas. PV GAS Youth Union, on the basis of directions and programs of PVN Youth Union, is preparing and developing action plans with dynamic, creativeness and enthusiasm, deserving the role as one of typical Youth Unions of Vietnam Oil and Gas industry.
