PV GAS to strengthen methods to respond to COVID-19 pandemic

COVID-19 has become a global pandemic, severely affecting most countries and continents in the world. Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has complied with the instruction of the Government and the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and taken prompt methods to respond to the increasing incidences of COVID-19.

In March, PV GAS synchronously carried out many methods, including the establishment of a Steering Board for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, and the issue of plan for responding to the epidemic to ensure continuous production.

PV GAS especially has taken initiatives in issuing temporary guidance on working from home or outside in irresistible cases. PV GAS’s staff have been asked for filling health declaration forms and provided masks and hand sanitizers. They also have been communicated the preventive measures against COVID-19 sufficiently and in time. Moreover, they also have updated the relevant agencies’ warnings about health declaration if they have close contact with suspected people.

Besides COVID-19 prevention and control, PV GAS has had methods to settle down production and trades to reduce negative impacts caused by the pandemic.

Proper, rapid and synchronous methods have helped maintain PV GAS’s production and trades, control and operate gas systems safely and continuously. PV GAS will update and carry out methods to respond to the pandemic as the authorities and the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group PVN’s instruction to contribute to the country and the industry’s fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.
