Implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the State Inspection Authority of Laos, and as part of the Government Inspectorate's foreign activities program in 2023, the State Inspection Authority of Laos conducted a training program in Vietnam in July 2023. On July 28th, the delegation visited and worked with PV GAS to study the practical experience of internal corporate inspection activities.

Based on Plan No. 371/KH- CĐDK dated July 13, 2023, of PVN Trade Union regarding the 94th anniversary of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2023), recently, PV GAS Trade Union has developed and executed a plan to celebrate this meaningful day.

The gas industry is identified as a pivotal sector in the process of Vietnam’s industrialization and modernization. However, due to the nature of its operations, there are inherent risks of fire and explosion, posing potential hazards to the cmmunity and the environment. Therefore, ensuring absolute safety for gas facilities is always a top priority for the Authorities at all levels.

PV GAS’s targets in 2023’s first half were reported to be exceeded. In particular, its output and revenue came out transcending respectively about 3-19% and 13-17% of what was planned, leading to an 81-83% increase in profit before and after tax compared to the targeted ones. As a result, PV GAS’s contribution to the National budget reached 57-60% higher than its target.

On July 18, 2023, the first 70,000-ton commissioning LNG cargo was fully pumped into the 180,000 m3 storage tank at Thi Vai LNG Terminal after more than a week since the arrival of the Maran Gas Achilles LNG Carrier (LNG/C). This helped PV GAS gain momentum on the journey towards green energy transition and contributed to elevating Ba Ria - Vung Tau seaport cluster’s reputation, as well as that of Vietnam on the global energy map.

On July 13, 2023, Youth Union Chapter of PV GAS South East Transmission Company (KDN) (hereinunder referred to as “the Chapter”) held a conference to review their performance in 2023’s first half and discuss directions in the next one.

That Maran Gas Achilles successfully berthed at Thi Vai LNG terminal at 10:00AM on July 10, 2023 has truly marked an important turning point for Vietnam gas industry, in which PV GAS continues to play a pioneering role, towards green energy and sustainable development.

At 10:00 AM, July 10, 2023, PV GAS has marked Vietnam’s very beginning in the green transition by receiving the LNG carrier, Maran Gas Achilles, tasked with transporting the first 70,000 tons of LNG, entering Cai Mep Port in Ba Ria-Vung Tau from Bontang, Indonesia.

Mr. Pham Van Phong, President & CEO of PV GAS, chaired separated meetings with Novatek (Russia) and ExxonMobil (USA) to explore business opportunities in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector. Assisting the CEO were Mr. Huynh Quang Hai - Vice President and managers from the company’s divisions and units.
 

To welcome the Congress of Trade Unions at all levels, "PMC RUN - Step by Step" running contest was organized in an online format, taking place over 21 days, starting from 00:01 on June 5, 2023 to 00:01 on June 26, 2023. This was a sports activity dedicated to all PMC’s employees, aiming to be part of the movement of "The whole nation exercising to follow the great example of Uncle Ho."

The Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (PDP 8), has identified the share of LNG-fueled power to be over 14.9% of the total national installed power source capacity by 2030, which is expected to help ensure a sufficient, stable, and safe supply for the national power system.

As part of the series of activities to celebrate the 4th Congress of PV GAS Trade Union (term 2023 – 2028), with great support of the Party Committee of the Corporation, on June 24th, the "PV GAS Mass Art Festival 2023" was organized and took place at Quan doi phia Nam Theatre.
